James Lloyd is a Registered Nurse with 25 years of experience, much of which was spent at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) in Tasmania where he worked as a Neuroscience Nurse, Intensive Care Nurse and After Hours Nurse Unit Manager.

James was elected to the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation (ANMF) Tasmanian Branch Council in 2011 and has since progressed through various roles to President, which is the position he currently holds. In 2018 he was elected as ANMF Federal Vice President. Throughout his time at ANMF, James has been actively involved in public enterprise bargaining, media, and representing the ANMF at the RHH.

With a passion for advocacy, James feels strongly about giving a voice to the voiceless and believes making your voice heard is both powerful and satisfying. In his current roles within ANMF James encourages people to stand tall and express what is important to them.
